New faces on the project
I’ve been collaborating closely with the Heartsworn team on their upcoming PC release. We all get along so well that we have officially formed a new team: Stella Noctis.
As part of this, I’m so excited to share that both Aky (Heartsworn 2D Artist) and Finch (Heartsworn Narrative Writer) will be joining Project Stormwatch.
Over the next few weeks, you’ll see a rebrand of these projects to ‘Stella Noctis’ across websites and projects.
Together, we are co-developing both titles, which also includes showcasing them side-by-side at events.
Develop: Brighton 2025
Develop: Brighton was good this year. I’ve been going to Develop every year, but this is the first time I’ve attended with my own indie project! I left little flyers around the venue, and some of the members on the Discord found them!
It was great to catch up with friends, and I also spent a lot of time with Finch, where we showed off Project Stormwatch and Heartsworn together at a few different showcases and meetings. Seeing so many people excited about our games was the highlight of the event for me!
U/Day Brighton
U/Day was the first event of the Develop Brighton week. This was at Unity’s Brighton office. Unfortunately Heartsworn didn’t get a space, but me and Finch showcased Project Stormwatch together.
I had to showcase an older build because I didn’t get the newer build ready on time unfortunately, but everyone seemed to have a good time!
Brilliant Indie Treasures
Brilliant Indie Treasures was another event which Project Stormwatch and Heartsworn were showcased at.
This one was a bit more crowded and had a lot of other games to showcase. We got a couple of really nice pictures. And people seemed to really enjoy the games!
There was 3 people who managed to beat the demo map at this event, which was really impressive - If you’re one of these people, please comment below and I’ll give you a cool badge 😝
I had to explain the gameplay to quite a lot of people so I think I need to focus on a good tutorial in the game next!
THIS PHOTO IS SO SO SOOOO SOOOOOOO COOOOOOOLLLLL THOUGH!
BOG’s Rising Tide Challenge
I entered Blue Ocean Game’s Rising Tide Challenge with Project Stormwatch. I’m really happy to see it’s global ranking within the top 23.54% of all entries!
I’m very impressed to also see it within the top 28.67% for strategy!
